Face à main à vue ovalisée, c. 1920, in patinated gilt bronze with ivory handle decorated with two peacocks supporting the mirror and small rosettes adorning the mirror.

History :
Given by Armand-Albert Rateau to the current owner's grandparents in 1920 for their wedding. It has remained in the family ever since.
A similar model is in the collection of the Metropolitan Museum, New York, donated by Armand-Albert Rateau in 1925 (inv. 25.170).
Another model was sold on December 19, 1994 at Ader Tajan, lot D.
