14k white gold brooch set with old-cut diamonds, depicting a frosted crystal rose on a stem with five engraved onyx leaves. Austro-Hungarian Empire, after 1921. H: 11.5 cm, gross weight: 43.82 g. (Small chips on the rose crystal). In its E. PALTSHO - Graben 14 - WIEN. House founded in Vienna in 1899 by Ernst Paltscho, himself trained by his father Karl. In 1914, he joined forces with Emil Biedermann and moved into new premises in the center of Vienna, under the name of Biedermann Paltscho. Maison Paltscho's illustrious clientele included the Austro-Hungarian aristocracy and the royal house of Greece.
