Benjamin CONSTANT - G JEANNIOT ill. Adolphe With 50 etchings, 1901 One of 5 copies on vieux Japon, copy no. 2 printed for Lotz-Brissonneau. Signed by the illustrator and with an autograph letter from him. This copy includes two original signed watercolor drawings of two states of signed engravings, two subscription forms with the vignette in different states, two autograph letters from Leperre and three autographs from Jeanniot concerning this edition. Bound in full nigger morocco, ribbed dox, first board decorated with incised leather, inner boards extensively decorated with a mosaic on a garnet morocco background, slipcase. State proofs of the compositions drawn and engraved by Jeanniot on Japon impérial paper are enclosed in a bradel half-binder in garnet morocco (spine faded).
